How many ways can you think of to take different photos of the same object? Explain your answers.

All you have to do is put it in different lighting, scenery, postions. You can take one picture of something and then take another at a different angle or lighting and it could look totally different. It just all depends on where you place it or if it is in motion or if its lifeless.

What questions do you still have about lighting for portraits? What else would you like to learn? On a scale of 1-5, with 5 being super excited, how much are you looking forward to using the studio?


what if we want to bring in some different colored material to put over the light as a diffuser? If we are doing different types of angled pictures how many different lights should we have? But im sorta excited for this. Im just not looking forward to taking pictures of me >.<. But i dont mind at all taking pictures of other people.

Every student in this class must complete learning log activities. This will be counted as an assignment grade. Your assignment is to create 3 images to be printed, framed, and exhibited at a public art show. The show will be the evening of December 19 at Big Al's Brewery in White Center. Big Al's is open to all ages. Attendance at the show is voluntary. The real question is are you going to actually finish the assignment if choosen...? I really want to do this assignment and i know I have the tendancy to daydream more than i produce things. I do everything but then the time comes i dont know what happens? But if i decide to do this assignment, I want to make sure i can do the best I can. I will attend this activity souley to prove i can get something done and I can commit to. I wont goof off I will work work work... and then play ^.^

We are going to set up a studio to take portraits of each other. Write a description of what you think it should be like-describe the background and any props you think we should have, as well as any other ideas you can come up with!


OH!!! I think we should get either a underwater mermaid theme cause i love mermaids ^.^ like wigs to make us look like king tritan and ariel from the litter mermaid and people could cut out pieces of cardboard and draw fish on them so they can stick there head through a hole and look like that fish in the picture!! ^.^ Or we could dress like pirates and have eyepatches and wooden legs and have a plank where someone could be or ont he poop deck. I have alot more ideas but i highly doubt people would go for them ha!

What do you like best about Photoshop? What do you like the least about Photoshop?


I like photoshop only for class purposes because it is easy to lighten/darken a picture, change the effects of saturation of color. But other then that I really dont like photoshop that much. I think photography with film instead of digital is just more emotion catching. It makes you look and wonder... What color could that have been? Where could that possibly be at?... Film photography in my opinion is my favorite form of capturing pictures. But what we're doing in here is really fun :)

Numero Dos

Happy December! Did you know Mrs. Magyar's birthday is in only 5 more days? What was the most frustrating thing about yesterday's class? How did you deal with it, and how could you deal with it differently?

Nothing was really frustrating yesturday it was a day when i could actually work on something that i could be alittle bit better than some people haha, But thats not that point, i was glad i could help some people with some things because i think everyone should be on the same level when it comes to educational values. There is no way i could of dealt with it because it all went well so there is nothing i would change.
